Artist Carol Marine was a frustrated graduate who wanted to learn to paint well but so far hadn't accomplished her goal. When introduced to daily painting she decided to start painting small canvases in oils and post them to her blog. This practice was a turning point for Marine's work and she built a large following who purchased her paintings and later created the website 'Daily Paint Works', with her husband David. This website features a whole host of painters who also create often and can sell their works through this website.
Marine set herself the brief of creating one small painting per day to improve her skills and this daily practice not only achieved her initial goal but also created a source of income from her paintings and led on to other opportunities.

On a similar theme, Furry Little Peach is one of many artists who create and or take part in a drawing challenge every October. The trend started with Jake Parker's Inktober where you would only use black ink to create drawings every day throughout October. This has since evolved and now many artists, myself included, create prompt lists to work through during October. This is a great way to improve your art and try prompts that you may not have drawn before.d'Anthes, S. (2021) A painting every day for a month ✷ PEACHTOBER 2021, YouTube.
